Characteristics: White powder, Odorless and tasteless. Very slightly soluble in water, insoluble in absolute ethanol, methanol or acetone; soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid or dilute nitric acid.

Uses:

2.Biochemical reagents, bulk drugs. It is a non-essential amino acid for human body. Soothe the nerves, resist depression, stabilize mood; slow down heart rate, regulate blood pressure; improve body endurance.

3.Nutritional supplements. It is used in medicine to treat myelitis, tuberculosis encephalitis, hyperthyroidism and other diseases. It is also used to manufacture L-dopa diiodotyrosine. After co-heating with sugars, the amino carbonyl reaction can generate special flavor substances.
